Delete account
If you are currently signed in with another account, sign out first. You can also open the app from a fresh installation and go to the home screen. Scroll down until you see the Sign In option, then tap it. Enter your login details. For most users registered after 2022, your login is your Zangi Number written without dashes. For example, if your Zangi Number is 10-4599-0709, enter it as 1045990709. Then enter the password you created for that account. Some older users may have registered with a phone number or email address instead of a Zangi Number. If your account was created this way and you set a password, use your phone number or email address together with your password to sign in.
Getting started with Zangi: Registration
After you installed Zangi Private Messenger you will land on the homescreen, where you can Register or Sign-in. If you don't have an account you need to register. Read and Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then tap Register, the system will ask certain permissions and then land on the Profile page, where you can complete your name, add an avatar or skip with “Continue”. Tap “Continue” to set up a password. (!) You can skip this step acknowledging that if you ever sign-out you will not be able to sign-in again.Zangi does not collect identity information and therefore Password reset is not possible. Now you have successfully registered - the system has assigned a virtual number - Zangi Number. Do not lose it, as Zangi Number is your login and if you forget it, you will lose access to your account. There is no option to restore it. Now when you are in, you can share your Zangi number with your friends via SMS or sharing through social media channels. To be able to load your phone contacts the app will ask permission to locally copy your contacts. Don’t worry, your contacts won’t leave your device and your contacts won’t be notified that you are a Zangi user. It is only to help you to share your Zangi Number easily. After you have shared your Zangi Number, now your friends can find you in Zangi. If you don’t share, they won’t know you are in Zangi. Now you can find each other and chat/call/video call/ group chat/ group call/share files and media. If you have set up a password on the Registration step, you can sign-out and sign-in back to your account from the same device and to another device. The concept is 1 account 1 device. Data is only stored on the device it received. We don’t store your messages on servers and therefore it will never sync if you change your device. If you sign-out with “Keep history” you can sign-in back to your account on the same device and see your communication data. If you choose “Delete history” the data will be cleared. If you sign-in with the same account into another device you will not see your communication data as it is locally stored on your device.

Messenger download for Zangi is available from Apple store or Google Play for free, available for iOS and Android devices.
Setting a profile picture & name
When you first enter the app, you may be asked to add your name, last name, profile picture, and bio. This information is visible to people you connect with, so you can choose whether you want to fill it out or skip it. You can also update this information later from your profile settings. This means you are always in control of what profile details you choose to show, including your name, photo, bio, and other public profile information.
How to Add a PIN Code, Fingerprint, or Face ID
To add a PIN code, fingerprint, or Face ID, open the Zangi app and go to Settings. Then open the Privacy section and choose Passcode Lock & Face ID From there, you can set a PIN code for opening the app. If your device supports it, you can also enable Fingerprint or Face ID for faster and more secure access.
How do I sign out/sign in?
To sign out of your account go to: app Settings → Your Profile section → Sign Out. When signing out the app will ask you whether you want to: Keep History or Delete History. Keep History means you would like the app to save your calls/messages (when you sign back into the same device). Delete History means you would like the app to erase all your history on your account (when you sign back into the same device). Transferring my chat history using same device Keep History or Delete History works when you’re signing in to the same device you signed out of. Using Different Device Chat history transfer is available, allowing users to move their existing conversations when changing devices. More about Zangi’s serverless system Zangi does not store communication history on any servers; the entire information is only kept on the user’s device. With this peer-to-peer technology sending private information has become truly private. Signing into a different device To use your account on a different device, you need to sign out of your current device. If you choose to sign in to the same account from another device, you will automatically be signed out of the 1st device (with your history saved).
How do I get a Zangi Private Number?
To get a Zangi Private Number, first download Zangi Private Messenger for free from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery and install it on your device. Once the app is installed, open it and you will see the main screen with the Register button. Tap Register and follow the simple prompts to create your account. During registration, the system automatically generates a 10-digit Zangi Private Number for you. You do not need to enter a personal phone number, email address, SIM card details, or any other personal information to receive it. This private number becomes your main in-app identity and is used for messaging, voice calls, HD video calls, and file sharing inside the app. You may be asked to set or skip your profile details, such as your name, avatar, and status. You can choose how much you want to share. The app may also prompt you to create a password. While setting a password can be skipped, it is recommended if you want to log in again later using the same Zangi Private Number. Your Zangi Private Number is what people use to find and contact you inside the app. Share it only with people you trust, such as friends, family members, colleagues, or contacts you choose to communicate with.
Can I transfer my chat history?

Updating Zangi
You can easily update Zangi from your phone's applications store. - For Android, search for Zangi in the Play Store app and tap Update. - For iPhone, search for Zangi in the App Store app and tap Update. We encourage you to always use the latest available version of Zangi. Latest versions contain the newest features and bug fixes.
