After you installed Zangi Private Messenger you will land on the homescreen, where you can Register or Sign-in.
If you don't have an account you need to register. Read and Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then tap Register, the system will ask certain permissions and then land on the Profile page, where you can complete your name, add an avatar or skip with “Continue”. Tap “Continue” to set up a password.
(!) You can skip this step acknowledging that if you ever sign-out you will not be able to sign-in again.Zangi does not collect identity information and therefore Password reset is not possible.
Now you have successfully registered - the system has assigned a virtual number - Zangi Number. Do not lose it, as Zangi Number is your login and if you forget it, you will lose access to your account. There is no option to restore it.
Now when you are in, you can share your Zangi number with your friends via SMS or sharing through social media channels. To be able to load your phone contacts the app will ask permission to locally copy your contacts. Don’t worry, your contacts won’t leave your device and your contacts won’t be notified that you are a Zangi user. It is only to help you to share your Zangi Number easily.
After you have shared your Zangi Number, now your friends can find you in Zangi. If you don’t share, they won’t know you are in Zangi.
Now you can find each other and chat/call/video call/ group chat/ group call/share files and media.
If you have set up a password on the Registration step, you can sign-out and sign-in back to your account from the same device and to another device.
The concept is 1 account 1 device. Data is only stored on the device it received. We don’t store your messages on servers and therefore it will never sync if you change your device.
If you sign-out with “Keep history” you can sign-in back to your account on the same device and see your communication data. If you choose “Delete history” the data will be cleared. If you sign-in with the same account into another device you will not see your communication data as it is locally stored on your device.
