On iPhone

1. Open Chats.
2. Tap the + icon in the top-right corner.
3. Select the contact you want to message.
4. Type your message in the message field.
5. Tap Send. On Android
6. Open Chats.
7. Tap the pencil icon in the bottom-right corner.
8. Select the contact you want to message.
9. Type your message in the message field.
10. Tap Send.

How do I send a voice message?

1. Open the chat where you want to send a voice message.
2. Tap the microphone icon in the message field to start recording.
3. Record your message.
4. When you finish, you can listen to the recording, delete it, or send it.

1. Open the chat where you want to send something.
2. Tap the + icon next to the message field.
3. Choose what you want to send: Photo, Video, File, Contact, or Location.
4. Select the item you want to share.
5. Tap Send. If you’re sharing your location for the first time, Zangi will ask for permission to access your device’s location.

You can send files of any type, with a maximum size of 400 MB per file. When sending photos or videos, you can also use the Original Size slider to send them in their original quality. This helps prevent the photo or video from losing quality during sending. Original Size is available to Zangi Premium users.

1. Open Settings from the bottom menu.
2. Tap Personal Messages.
3. Type a message or attach the photo, video, file, or other content you want to save.
4. Tap Send. Once you’ve started using Personal Messages, you can also open the chat directly from Chats.

2. Press and hold the message you want to reply to.
3. Tap Reply.
4. Type your response.
5. Tap Send. On Android, you can also swipe on a message to reply to it quickly.

2. On iPhone, press and hold the message. On Android, press and hold on the same line as the message.
3. Choose Forward, Copy, or Share via.
   • Forward sends the message to another Zangi chat.
   • Copy copies the message text so you can paste it elsewhere.
   • Share via lets you share the message through another app.

2. Press and hold the message you want to react to.
3. Choose one of the displayed emoji reactions. To see more reactions, tap the + icon and choose another emoji.

2. On iPhone, press and hold the message. On Android, tap the message.
3. Tap Edit.
4. Update your message.
5. Tap Send to save the changes.

2. On iPhone, press and hold the message. On Android, tap the message.
3. Tap Delete.
4. To delete the message for everyone, select the Delete for Everyone checkmark.
5. Tap Delete to confirm. If Delete for Everyone is not selected, the message is deleted only from your device.

There is no time limit. You can edit a message you sent or delete your sent message for everyone at any time.

On iPhone

1. Open Chats.

2. Swipe left on the chat you want to delete.

3. Tap Delete.

4. If you want to delete the chat for everyone, select the Delete for Everyone checkmark. This option is available to Zangi Premium users.

5. Confirm the deletion. On Android

6. Open Chats.

7. Tap and hold the chat you want to delete.

8. Tap the trash icon in the top-right corner.

9. If you want to delete the chat for everyone, select the Delete for Everyone checkmark. This option is available to Zangi Premium users.

10. Confirm the deletion.

Clearing or deleting a chat removes the chat history from your device. Zangi does not keep a cloud backup that can be used to restore it.

On iPhone

1. Open Chats.
2. Swipe left on the chat.
3. Tap Pin. To unpin it, swipe left on the pinned chat and tap Unpin.

On Android

1. Open Chats.
2. Press and hold the chat.
3. Tap Pin. To unpin it, press and hold the pinned chat and tap Unpin.

1. Open the chat.
2. Press and hold the message you want to pin.
3. Tap Pin.
4. Choose whether to pin it only for yourself or for both you and the person you’re chatting with. If you pin a message for both of you, the other person receives a notification. To unpin a message, press and hold the pinned message and tap Unpin. You can also tap the X icon next to the pinned message at the top of the chat.

On iPhone

1. Open Chats.
2. Swipe left on the chat.
3. Tap Mute.
4. Choose how long you want to mute notifications. To unmute the chat, swipe left again and tap Unmute.

On Android

1. Open Chats.
2. Press and hold the chat.
3. Tap Mute.
4. Choose how long you want to mute notifications. To unmute the chat, press and hold it again and tap Unmute.

To search across your chats:

1. Open Chats.
2. Tap the search bar at the top.
3. Enter a word, message, or contact name to find matching results.

To search inside a specific chat:

1. Open the chat.
2. On iPhone, tap the contact’s name at the top. On Android, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
3. Tap Search.
4. Enter a word or phrase, or choose Search by Date to find messages from a specific date.

1. Open the chat.
2. Tap the contact’s name at the top.
3. Tap Shared Media. There you can view all photos, videos, files, and links shared in that chat. You can also open an item to save, share, or delete it.

What do the check marks next to my messages mean?

• One check mark means your message has been sent, and the recipient is notified if they have notifications enabled.
• Two check marks mean the recipient has opened the chat and read your message.
