What is Zangi, and where can I download it?
Zangi is a mobile messaging app available for download from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery.
Zangi is a mobile messaging app available for download from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery.
Zangi is currently available only on mobile devices. A desktop version for PC and Mac is planned for the future.
Zangi does not require a phone number or email address to create an account. When you register, Zangi automatically generates a unique Zangi Private Number for you. You can share it with people you want to connect with on Zangi.
A Zangi Private Number is a unique, randomly generated 10-digit number assigned to your account when you register. It allows you to use Zangi without providing your personal phone number or email address. To contact you, someone needs your exact Zangi Private Number.
Zangi does not have a public account search, so people cannot find you by your name, phone number, or email address. To connect with you, someone needs your Zangi Private Number.
The Zangi Private Number linked to your existing account cannot be changed. If you want a different Zangi Private Number, you need to create a new Zangi account. A new Zangi Private Number will be generated automatically when you register.
Zangi uses a one-account, one-device architecture, so the same account cannot be used on multiple devices at the same time. If you want to use Zangi on more than one device, you can create a separate account on each device.
You can use Zangi without setting a password, but you will lose access to your account if you sign out. For example, if you uninstall Zangi or lose your device, you will not be able to sign back into the same account without a password. We recommend setting a password and storing it securely.
You can set a password after creating your Zangi account. Go to Settings → Your Profile → Set Up a Password. If you already have a password and want to change it, you can do so from your account settings. Go to Settings → Your Profile → Change Password. We recommend storing your password securely because Zangi cannot reset or recover it if you forget it.
Zangi cannot reset or recover your password. Zangi does not collect personal information such as your phone number or email address, and we do not store any information that could be used to verify your identity. For this reason, it is important to remember your password and store it securely.
Tap Sign In at the bottom of the page. Enter your Zangi Private Number and tap Next. Enter the password you previously set up and tap Sign In.
Your chat history and files are stored locally on your device, not in the cloud. When you sign out, you can choose:
Choose Keep History if you want to keep this data on your phone. If you choose Delete History, the deleted chat history and files cannot be restored because Zangi does not keep cloud backups of your communication data.
Before changing phones, make sure you have set a password for your Zangi account and stored it securely. If you use Android, use Zangi’s Data Transfer feature to move your account and communication data to your new device. Data Transfer is not currently available on iOS. Because Zangi does not store your messages in the cloud or keep server backups, we recommend completing the transfer before you stop using your old device.
If you are moving to a new Android device, you can use Zangi’s Data Transfer feature to transfer your communication history. Data Transfer is not currently available on iOS. Zangi does not store your communication history in the cloud, so your messages do not automatically sync to a new device.
Your Zangi account and data, including your messages and contacts, will be transferred to the new device. Once the transfer is complete, you will be logged out of Zangi on your old device and your account will open on the new device.
Data Transfer is not currently available on iOS.
At the moment, this feature is available only on Android. Support for transferring your Zangi account and data between iPhones is currently in development.
When you sign in to your Zangi account on a new device, the account will no longer be active on your old device. Zangi does not sync messages between devices because your communication data is stored locally on your device, not in the cloud. If you are changing phones, we recommend using Zangi’s Data Transfer feature before switching devices. This feature is currently available on Android.
If you uninstall Zangi, your locally stored messages and communication history will be removed from your device. If you have set a password, you can reinstall Zangi and sign back in to your account. If you did not set a password, you will lose access to your account after uninstalling the app. Zangi cannot reset or recover the account because we do not store any information that could be used to verify your identity. Your previous chat history will not be restored because Zangi does not store your messages in the cloud or keep server backups.
Deleting your account permanently removes your account data, including your messages, call history, and profile information. This action cannot be undone.
Deleting your Zangi account is permanent. Your account and Zangi Private Number will no longer be available, and your locally stored messages and communication history will be removed from your device. Zangi cannot restore a deleted account or recover your previous messages because we do not store your communication data in the cloud or keep server backups.
